YOUR MOTS-c TREATMENT GUIDE

Clear guidance for your INTRA|V prescription—from measuring your dose to giving your injection and storing your medication.

Thank you for choosing INTRA|V. We want you to feel informed and comfortable with your treatment. Here’s what you need to know before getting started.

How Much Should I Inject?

Your MOTS-c dose is prescribed specifically for you. Inject the amount shown on your prescription label, using the syringe units provided for your medication.

Do not increase your dose or use another patient’s instructions. If you need help measuring your amount, contact INTRA|V before injecting.

Which Days Should I Inject?

Inject for five days, followed by two consecutive days off. Repeat this pattern each week during your prescribed treatment course.

An easy way to follow this routine is:

  • Monday–Friday: Take your prescribed dose.

  • Saturday–Sunday: Take your two days off.

You can choose different days to suit your schedule. Keep the same pattern: five injection days, then two consecutive days off. Do not add injections or extend your course yourself.

When Should I Inject?

Inject in the morning before eating. Wait at least 30 minutes after your injection before eating.

Build your injection into your morning routine so it is easy to follow consistently on each injection day.

How Do I Measure My Dose?

Use the syringe units listed for your prescription. The amount you draw up depends on your vial’s concentration and your prescribed dose.

The strength printed on the vial—such as 2 mg or 10 mg—does not, by itself, tell you how much to inject. Milligrams, milliliters and syringe units measure different things.

The syringe graphic can help you read the markings. Always check the scale on your own syringe, as markings can differ between syringe sizes.

How Should I Give My Injection?

For prescriptions administered subcutaneously (SubQ), inject just beneath the skin using the sites and technique demonstrated by our team.

Wash your hands, clean the vial stopper and injection site, and use a new sterile needle and syringe each time. Rotate injection sites and avoid bruised, irritated or infected skin.

Place used needles and syringes directly into a sharps container. The SubQ Injection Guide provides a helpful reminder of the technique.

What If I Miss a Dose?

Do not double your next dose or take an extra injection. Contact INTRA|V if you need help adjusting your schedule after a missed dose.

What Should I Watch For?

Tell us about any new or unexpected symptoms after an injection. Contact us if redness, swelling, warmth or discomfort at the injection site worsens or spreads.

Seek prompt medical attention for increasing pain, significant swelling, drainage or fever. Call 911 for difficulty breathing, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, chest pain or collapse.

Do not increase your dose because you have not noticed a change. Benefits, response times and the full side-effect profile of MOTS-c injections have not been established in people.

Delivery and Storage

Please allow approximately 5–10 business days for processing and delivery after your prescription is ordered.

Store your medication at the temperature printed on your pharmacy label and observe its expiry or beyond-use date. Keep medication and injection supplies out of children’s reach.

If your shipment arrives damaged, its temperature is unexpected or the medication’s appearance changes, contact the dispensing pharmacy before using it.

Important Safety Information

MOTS-c is an investigational peptide. Compounded MOTS-c is not FDA-approved, and its safety and effectiveness in humans have not been established. FDA has identified concerns involving possible immune reactions, peptide impurities and product characterization.

Before starting treatment, tell your INTRA|V prescriber about your medical conditions, allergies, medications and supplements, including pregnancy or breastfeeding.
