Why is Intra|V different from other IV Therapy clinics?

IntraV The Woodlands lobby area

At IntraV, we are extremely proud to be a locally-owned family business. As one of the first vitamin IV therapy clinics to open in the greater Houston area, we have seen much success –and it isn't just because of our product.

It is more than the product - it is our IntraV family and the local community that we serve. We know this area and want to see our local small businesses thrive and grow. Our success is fully rooted in its locals, and we make it a priority to be the best IV therapy clinic in The Woodlands and Katy

The History of Intra|V

Sam, my business partner, and I live in the greater Houston area, near The Woodlands and Magnolia. We came up with the concept of IntraV while exercising at the Crossfit gym where we met.

We both have a passion for health and wellness and knew that Vitamin IV infusions would make a difference in people's lives. So in 2016, we started planning what it would take to turn IntraV into a reality.

When we told our friends and family our business plans, we saw some confused faces. Most of the responses went along the lines of: "You're going to give me an IV… even though I'm not sick… and put vitamins in it?!" Yes, we replied, that's exactly what we plan to do.

And with that, we opened in 2017 with our first location, in the heart of The Woodlands. Things certainly started slow for us; trying to convince people that sticking them in the arm with a needle and pumping them full of vitamins and minerals would make them feel amazing was a tough sell.

But– we knew we just needed to get people to try it first. We knew that if we broke through their skepticism and got them to try, they would feel great and tell their friends and family about us. So little by little, people started to come in and bring their friends back. Our business slowly grew, and we opened our second location in Katy.

What makes IntraV different?

  • We are a family business.

My name is Phil, and I am the Co-owner. I oversee all of the day-to-day operations in our Katy and The Woodlands locations. I run back and forth between both locations making sure everything is accounted for, our staff is happy, and my customers are satisfied.

Sam, the other co-owner, oversees the medical and nutritional aspects of the IV clinic. Sam has spent 20+ years studying biochemistry and clinical nutrition and has over 1,000 hours of postgraduate clinical nutritional hours. He also obtained his nursing degree and nurse practitioner certification, putting him in a perfect position to create IntraV services.

Part of Sam's job at IntraV is to go back and review all of our formulations on a quarterly basis to coincide with the latest research that is coming out. He is always making sure our formulations are the best that they can be, and he always looks at the newest modalities that can benefit our customers at IntraV.

My wife, Rachel, also works for IntraV. She is an exceptionally talented graphic designer who works on our marketing materials, website updates and manages our social media presence. She also ensures that the aesthetic of our buildings and facilities are relaxing, comforting, and a place our customers want to come back to for their IV treatments.

Sam's daughter also works at both our Katy and Woodlands locations..

Like most families, sometimes we disagree, but we all work together toward one common goal: to provide the best IV drip therapy and customer service to all of our clients. And as you can tell from our over 400 five-star reviews on Google, I think we do a pretty good job of it.

  • We are locally owned.

All of our staff live in the greater Houston area. We are not a franchise; we don't have a head office in a different city or state; we are right here in Texas, supporting our own. We are active in the community, sponsoring local teams our kids play on and donating to fundraising events and auctions. We are proud to be part of this community, and we think that makes a difference.

  • Our staff is exceptional.

If you have had a vitamin drip at IntraV, then you know what I am talking about. Our staff is amazing! (And I'm not just being biased!) They make everyone feel welcome and at ease. They will answer any question you have, and if they don't know, they will find out the answer for you. Our nurses are the best "IV sticks" around, and we are extremely fortunate to have each and every one of them working as a part of our IntraV family.

  • We are not a franchise.

Since opening in The Woodlands location, we have seen a lot of growth in the IV therapy market. Right now, it seems like there is a new clinic being opened in every strip center being built, but who is opening these IV clinics? Not family-owned businesses, that's who.

Most of the new clinics opening are franchises, which means that the owner/operator of the business often has their hands tied by the franchise agreement.

This also means that many of these business owners might not have any medical background. Anyone can pay to open an IV therapy franchise, and they operate under the medical director that's over all of the clinics in that franchise.

This is not how we operate. Our medical director lives and practices in this area. We see this as a huge advantage, and if something comes up, we can deal with it instantly, not calling head office to see what they want us to do; we take care of it.

  • Our upfront pricing.

All of our pricing is on our website; there's nothing hidden, and no extra cost when you go to check out. All of our drips come in 1000 ml of fluid with electrolytes. What we have seen from some IV clinics around us is they give one price on their website for an IV, but when you get there, it is only for 250ml of fluid, and they upcharge you for more. At IntraV, we are completely transparent with our pricing; check out our website or give us a call to book your drip

We hope you will click on IntraV when you next search for "IV Therapy Near Me." We want to be your go-to IV therapy clinic in The Woodlands or Katy area, and if this blog hasn't convinced you yet, give us one chance to change your mind. Try just one drip with us… I think you'll see the difference.
